When considering Construction & refurbishment, the Accounting for Sustainability project focused on what can be done to embed sustainability within the Construction sector at various stages of the construction value chain.

This module breaks the construction process down into its component parts and looks how sustainability should be taken into account at each of the following stages: Land and Buildings; Design; Planning; Contracting; Construction and Use; Refurbishment and Rebuild; and End of Life.

While the content in this module is directed primarily at the Construction sector as a whole, there are lessons here for any indivdual employing or contracting for construction work.
